Relay · iPhone & iPad

Privacy policy.

How Relay handles progress on your device and in your private iCloud database, purchase entitlements and voluntary support requests. This policy also covers the Relay information pages.

1. Controller and scope

This policy applies to Relay: Circuit Puzzle for iPhone and iPad and its Relay information pages, provided by youcloud GmbH, Waaghausgasse 3, 3011 Bern, Switzerland, company ID CHE-427.270.675. Privacy and support contact: info@youcloud.ch. Updated 2 November 2026.

2. Data on your device

The app stores unfinished circuits, completed levels, stars, output values, completion dates, attempts, hint progress, unlocked chapters and completed run sequences. Archived results from earlier level versions form part of game progress. Language, sound, haptics and other device preferences, plus local backup files, stay on each device. Depending on device settings, Apple device backups may include app data.

3. Progress sync with iCloud

When iCloud is available for Relay, the app automatically syncs progress through Apple CloudKit in your private iCloud database. Sync runs on opening, periodically while the app is active, and when you select Sync now. It transfers the progress and unfinished circuits described above, including archived results, technical change markers and a random installation identifier used to resolve conflicts. The app keeps a CloudKit account-specific identifier locally to detect account changes. This does not give us your name or Apple sign-in credentials. There is no youcloud game server, no public database for game saves and no sharing with other players. We cannot access the contents of your private database through the developer portal. Apple processes iCloud data under its terms; storage counts towards your iCloud allowance. Without iCloud or a connection, the game continues with local saves. Manage Relay’s iCloud access in your device’s iCloud settings.

4. Purchases through Apple

Apple processes payments, your Apple Account and purchase history under its own terms. Relay verifies signed StoreKit transactions on your device, including product identifiers, verification and revocation status, to unlock Prism or Echo, restore purchases and reflect refunds. There is no developer-operated purchase server and we do not receive card or bank details. Apple may provide us with sales statements and aggregate reports. Purchases and restoration need a connection to Apple; verified content can then be played offline.

5. No advertising or behavioural analytics

Relay has no advertising or analytics SDKs, cross-app tracking, leaderboard or user account. It does not request access to contacts, location, camera or microphone. If you allow Apple to share diagnostics with developers, technical crash reports may be made available to us through Apple for troubleshooting. You control this sharing in your device’s privacy settings.

6. Contact and support

If you voluntarily contact us by email, we process your email address and the information you provide, such as device, app version, problem description and attachments, to answer your request. Our email service providers process these messages for delivery and storage. Send only necessary information, not passwords or full payment details. We keep correspondence as long as needed to handle the request, subsequent questions and applicable legal retention or evidence requirements.

7. Retention and deletion

Reset progress replaces the active save locally and, at the next successful sync, in iCloud with an empty save and a technical reset marker. Other connected devices adopt this fresh start at their next sync. Preferences and local backups remain. Confirming an iCloud account change keeps a local backup of the previous save; progress is not transferred automatically between accounts. Fully deleting the app removes its local files; offloading does not. This does not delete the iCloud save, which can return after reinstalling. For complete removal, manage Relay data and any device backups in Apple’s iCloud storage settings and delete local data on all devices. Prevent further syncing first so an old local save is not uploaded again. Apple manages purchase history and statutory retention separately; purchased kits remain restorable.

8. These pages and service providers

The Relay app page and privacy page load no advertising or analytics scripts. When a page is requested, our hosting provider processes technical connection information such as IP address, time, requested address, browser details and response status to deliver the page, investigate errors and prevent abuse. Technical logs are retained only as long as needed for those purposes. Choosing a language sets the yc_language cookie for up to one year; you can delete it in your browser. Apple processes data for its services in other countries, including the United States; its privacy policy explains recipients, retention and safeguards. This policy does not describe other youcloud pages you may visit through links.

9. Purposes, rights and changes

Processing supports gameplay, purchase verification, replies to your requests and secure operation of these information pages. Where the GDPR applies, necessary services rely on Article 6(1)(b), legal obligations on (c), and technical security and troubleshooting on (f). Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, or object to processing. Contact info@youcloud.ch. We have no remote access to data stored exclusively on your device. You may complain to the Swiss FDPIC or your competent supervisory authority. We update this policy when processing changes.
